even a perfect sundering fortitude dagger is only worth 20k at best...

You want daggers?? I have endless amounts of perfect daggers from the past two weekends... I gave away quite a few perfects to clear up space in my inventory... got like a dozen left....

xEDITx I forgot- I was posting originally to call you guys noobs for thinking there will be new stuff for rits and assassins. Expect a content upgrade for Factions a few months after Nightfall come out and sales begin to drop.... ANet is not stupid when it comes to selling their product... they know good timing.

Although the fact that I spent two weeks farming and trading to buy the 100k skill trainer- I was very very disappointed in the meager selection of skills that it has. You should be able to purchase any skill that you account has unlocked (factions, profs, AND core skills)

They should make a trader that will give you some kind of 15k style armor if you give him like 5 sigil stones.

Default my turn...

Well since their has no been offical realise of what will be in nightfall we will have to wait. But i don't think their will be anything need for sin's or Rit's at this point. But down the line, you never know. Also i beleive their was a point that someone said, somewhere that Nightfall was orginal not going to have 2 new classes, but something changed. As for the daggers and spending money, if hes got the money and wants to spend it on that fine. I haven't spend much money on my assassin becuase i like looking for the mods instead of buying them. I almost have everything i need for daggers. Also i will not delete my assassin becuase i beleive my selt to be one of the elite people that can play an assassin. I will play my assassin in nightfall, after i beat it with the new classes and then my warrior. But i look forward to Nightfall and can't wait to see it and play it at when they have a beta test, if they do and of course when the game offical comes out.

I for one would be very disappointed if they don't add at least a few skills for the new professions, and Luxon and Kurzick armors for the Dervish and Paragons would also be a nice bonus. Then again we'll have to wait for release to see for sure.

A bit off topic, but why are his daggers "n00b daggers"? Simply because he didn't spend loads of money on them?

[ON topic]

I didn't make a Assassin or Rit in Factions, so it won't really affect me, but I hope that they bring in at least some new skills for these professions. I think it'll also affect my choice of character this chapter: If Assassins and Rits don't get new things in Nightfall, then its unlikely that Dervish and Paragons will get new stuff in future chapters.

Although looking at all the evidence, I'm guessing they WILL release new stuff. They can't keep bringing out 2 new professions EVERY chapter, it just wouldn't be feasable, thus they'll have to bring out new content for the old professions, and it would be silly to leave out the 4 'non-core' professions in future chapters.

While skills look like they should synergize nicely, efficient cast ranges and cast times largely prevent both spirit spamming and channeling/restoration. Elementalists are arguably see the least variety of core classes in PvP, but they have more reasonable options than ritualist. It is hard to argue that the hybridization was successful in ritualists.

I also noted that a ritualist can be fun to play. It is a fun Johnny class, allowing for creativity and a unique flavor of guild wars. I'm a bit of a Johnny, so I appreciate the concept. That said, if your concept doesn't scale up to higher levels of play it isn't worth pursuing.

The assassin issue is basically the opposite and more straightforward. While assassin skills and tactics remain interesting near the top of the ladder, they are just miserable in the hands of newbies. If people are getting turned off to the game because a class has a steep learning curve, I feel that the execution has failed to some degree. [Assassin are also less flexible skill wise than core classes, but they seem to have more playable skills and tactical flexiblity]
Too Bad for PvP then. All the more reason to give them better skills.

and im sure you didnt buy your million gold on ebay too..

youre calling me a noob? and how do you know what types of daggers i have? Im sure you really have a clue.

most of the green daggers arent worth even picking up, btw- good to know you got so much trash lyin around.

For one, I only ever bought one pair of daggers- Ungues of the Oni for 5k - the rest of them I earned myself... have a nice day.

p.s. do you have dragon fangs?

--------------------------------------------------------
back on topic- I dont see why everyone's panties are in a bunch over this. Next thing you know theyll start complaining that they cant purchase any new paragon skills in tyria.... this whole thread is dumb- the people complaining really need to read some more.

What a lovely set of scrub-daggers.

Seriously, I don't understand why anyone who actually reads forums and claims to be an informed player would actually use sundering mods.

Didn't they mention that every chapter might not have two new classes? I wonder if that chapter would add bonus skills for previous classes. Assasins really need a bit of work to make them a viable PvE character.

Sorry for trying to revive a dead thread, but am I still correct in the belief that ArenaNet has still made no official statement on the new skills of ritualists and assassins?

I suppose you are technically correct. Just wait a few weeks for the pve preview and then there can be no denying it.

Even then I highly doubt there will be Assassin and Ritualist primaries available as options. If there are new RIT or SIN skills you might see them in the secondary options or in the PvP area as unlocks but NOT as primaries. I still find it interesting there was a P/Rit with no Ritualist skills as a PvP option. P/D or P/W would have been better options IMO if there were going to be no new Ritualist skills.

Rit needs to be redesigned as a Summoner. They only exist for when there is not enought monks to party with.

Well I know that Assassins and Ritualists will most likely get new armor but I'm wondering if the Paragon and Dervish will get Kurzick and Luxon armor.

I would say no however you will see quite a few Dervish and Paragons in AB within the next few months fighting for Luxans and Kurzacks.

i dont see all the fuss about the whole topic over assasins and rits not getting any new skills. realy it wouldnt make sence if elona had assasin and rit skills when you travel over there when they have had no experience dealing with the outsiders and its the very first time they have meet them. the original six professions are world-wide and known by every continent, but cantha has original professions that only they can spit out. same thing with elona. it makes no sence to me to have new skills, and if you like the builds for assasine and rit right now then you shouldnt be complaining because you have been perfectly fine with them for 6 months now. they have their own role to play in the party. the skills for the core professions will add up to a huge amount after the 4th or 5th chapter, but realy they are just skills worded differently then the ones from previous campaigns.

Sorry to burst your bubble however there are some serious build limitations on the classes as they are written. Consider that both classes have now had very intense testing the last 6 months and a few more skills to iron them out would be beneficial to the game overall.

Furthermore there is a consideration that there are players who only have a Ritualist or an Assassin in game and would like to continue playing their classes in Elona. ANET is a business and some of their business needs require continued sales to former established customers. Might I ask why the hostility for more skills for the Assassin and Ritualist. Why is this an unreasonable request? If ANET were to offer a few more skills to the SIN and RIT would it now entice thoes players who are exclusive with thier SIN and RIT's. You don't have to have 25 skills to appease these players even 5-10 and 1-3 Elites would be reasonable and marketable.

Instead of new content in Nightfall for Rits and Sins I could see them opening up a new section of Cantha for Factions players. Maybe fighting in the place that Shiro banishes you into during the final battle. Could have an armor guy down there along with a boss set up similar to Sorrow's Furnace.
